Notes for Moritz Löwy
{geni:about_me} Moritz Lowy was born in Velke Uherce, Trencin Co., Hungary [now Slovakia] in 1849, the son of Pinkus and Anna Lowy. He was married in Trencin City, 1876, to Amalia Tauber (1852-1900). They had three children: adaughter Rosa, another daughter who died as a teenager, and a son Sandor who died in infancy. In 1900, this family was residing in Budapest, Hungary.
PLEASE NOTE: Moritz should not be confused with another Moritz Loewy (1851-1929) from Horepnik, Bohemia who emigrated to the U.S. in 1888. By his first wife, Betty (Metzker] Loewy, this other Moritz was the father of Adolph OttoLoewy (b. 1883), later of Monmouth, New Jersey. This is an entirely separate, unrelated family.
