Notes for Nanetta (Netty) (Nany) (Anna) Kohn-Zerkowitz
{geni:about_me} Nanetta (Kohn-Zerkowitz) Tauber, known alternately as "Anna", "Netty", and "Nany", was born in Trencin City in 1815 and was still alive in 1890. Her deathdate is unknown. It is believed that she left Trencin in herlater years and went to live with one of her children -- likely to Budapest, where three of her daughters were living in 1900. However, all attempts to locate a death record have proven unsuccessful. She was most certainly deceased by 1909 when a great-granddaughter (Nanette Buchler, born in Manhattan, New York) was named in her honor.

Nanetta was married in 1833 to Leopold Tauber (1803-1887), a Hebrew elementary schoolteacher from Holesov, Moravia. Following their marriage, they lived in Baan for several years before moving back to Trencin (around 1847). Between 1834 and 1860, Nanetta gave birth to 12 children -- four sons and eight daughters.
