Notes for Jacob (Juda) (Judel) Knöpfelmacher
{geni:about_me} Jacob Knöpfelmacher had the Hebrew name of Juda or Judel. He was born in October 1798, shortly following the death of his paternal grandfather, Jacob Knöpfelmacher (1739-1798), who died in Holesov on 4 October 1798. Following his marriage to Anna Pollak in 1819, Jacob lived in several towns throughout Moravia: Mahr. Weisskirchen, Boikowitz (his wife's hometown), Kremsier, Steinowitz, and then later, Mahr. Weisskirchen and Kremsier again. He died in Kremsier on 16 January 1869, age 70. His death record indicates that he was the son of Joachim Knöpfelmacher, "former tenant in Keltsch", and that he was a resident of "Jewishtown #14" in Kremsier at the time of hisdeath.
Later in his life, perhaps around the 1840s, he purchased Familiant status in Mahr. Weisskirchen [now Hranice]:
