Notes for Kella (Keile) (Klara) Lucka
{geni:about_me} Through her mother (Rachel Bumsla Lucka), Kella (Lucka) Zerkowitz was the 6-great-granddaughter of Rabbi Jehuda Loew (d. 1609), the MaHaral of Prague. When Kella Zerkowitz died in Prague on 2 December 1784, her death record refers to her as "Kella, [wife of] Salomon Zerkawa", age 35. However, given that her eldest daughter was born in 1763, she was likelier age 37 at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Samuel Lucka (1720-1792)and his wife, Rachel (Bumsla) Lucka (1719-1802).

A granddaughter, Kella Fischel, born 10 November 1784 (three weeks prior to her death), was named in her honor. Normally, newborn children were not named after a relative until after that person was deceased. But, because it wasdone in this situation, it is a strong indicator that Kella Zerkowitz was gravely ill and not expected to survive.

Following her death, her husband married 2nd, 1786, her niece Sara Lucka (1769-1831), daughter of her brother Benedikt Lucka (1744-1806).
