Ferdinand, like two of his brothers, was also an impresario; he lived in Sweden.
The Sunday ''Portland Oregonian'' of Aug. 31, 1902 says "Ferdinand Strakosch was ''younger brother to'' Max and Maurice Strakosch, and died in Paris August 2 [1902], aged 62 [actually he was b. 1837]. He was an impresario at Romeand Trieste at the time that his two more famous brothers were dividing honors in operatic management In Paris and New York. Ferdinand Strakosch was the father of Miss Feba Strakosch who sang In 1900 in the season of opera in English at the Metropolitan." Ferdinand Strakosch, the last survivor of the three once famous brothers and operatic entrepreneurs, died at Paris about five weeks ago. The oldest of the brothers was Maurice Strakosch, Madame Patti's early teacher and manager,who died in 1887. His widow, Amalia Patti, is still living. The younger brother, Max, died in 1892. In the
sixties and seventies the brothers Strakosch welded enormous influence in operatic matters, for Maurice was director of the Italian opera, Paris, and was also interested with Max in the American campaigns of Nilsson. Patti, ParepaRosa, Kellogg, Cariotta Patti, Titjens. Albani. and others; while Ferdinand was impresario at Roma arid at Trieste, arid thus had a certain amount of control over the then powerful Italian stage.
