{geni:about_me} I was born in Chicago but moved to San Francisco in 1951, lived here since then and practiced law primarily as a civil trial lawyer for nearly 50 years. I have traveled extensively with my wife, Susan Lackritz Kaplan. I was an avid skier for about 55 years in California and other states and in Europe and Canada. My interests mainly are reading (I started a book club which meets regularly after 15 years); some writing; classes six months/year at a school for seniors, Fromm Institute; running and gym training; and seeing friends and RELATIVES. Attend lectures, many music performances from soloists to opera, and theater (mainly stage, ut movies, too).
