Notes for David Knöpfelmacher
{geni:about_me} Familianten records of Mahr. Weisskirchen, Moravia [now Hranice, Czech Republic] show that David Knopfelmacher was he owner of Familianten #114 as early as 1788. David was the son of Jacob Knopfelmacher (1739-1798), and he is named in documents when Jacob's estate was divided in early 1799. David lived in household #6 in Mahr. Weisskirchen through 1792, but moved to Jagendorf, then Vsechovice [formerly, Weseritz] following his first wife's death. Vsechovice is located adjacent to Kelc, the residence of his older brother, Rabbi Joachim Knöpfelmacher. David resided in Vsechovice through the 1790s and early 1800s, but seems to have also retained a household in Mahr. Weisskirchen during that same period.
His second wife, Paulina, died in Mahr. Weisskirchen (household #9) on 8 October 1837, age 60. He survived her by exactly two months, dying there on 8 December 1837, age 69.
