{geni:occupation} Textile Manufacturer and Inventor
{geni:about_me} Born in Prague. Moved at age 2 to Vienna, where he completed his schooling including Technical High School where he studied Textiles. Became a good pianist under top teachers, one of whom was a pupil of a pupil ofChopin.

First job was with a carpet manufacturer in Chemnitz, Germany. At age 22 his boss sent him to England to set up a subsidiary and his early English served him well in later years. Returned to Czechoslovakia where his father had a partnership in a textile factory in Harrachov in teh Gian Mountains. When hsi father, Pepi took over the management.

On a trip to Egyot to buy cotton he caught pneumonia and had a vision telling him to leave Czechoslovakia - he had a number of friends in Germany who were warning him about Hitler's anschluss. Pepi accelerated his exports to England and when he had a few thousands pounds in the bank there he moved to London to prepare a home for the rest of the family. While he was there, Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia, trapping the family there. Pepi managed, amazingly toget some of his family out - his wife, his mother and his two children. More to come
