Notes for Charles Edward Morris
{geni:about_me} Charles served during the First World War. He was in the battle of Arras in France in August 1918 where he was wounded and suffered severe shell shock. He spent many months in hospital in Boulogne France.
Due to a mix up with their records the army reported to Vennetta, his wife, that Charles had been killed in action.
A year later when Charles was discharged from hospital he returned home but was still suffering from some amnesia. He was passing by a shop where Vennetta was working part time. She looked out of the shop window just as Charles was passing by. She ran out to him and they were both overjoyed to be reunited.
