Notes for Sara (Rosalia) (Sali) Kohn-Zerkowitz
{geni:about_me} Rosalia [Sara] Kohn-Zerkowitz, known as "Sali", was born in Brtnice, Moravia about 1799. However, in 1850, her age was overstated as 54 and, at death in 1865, it was again overstated as 72. Proof that she was the daughter of Simon Kohn-Zerkowitz is contained in the death record of his second wife, Eleonora [aka Veronika or Elka], where a notation references her: "vidi: Johann Jassowitz" -- the widow of Johann [aka Jakob] Jassowitz -- presumably as a surviving child.

In 1850, widow Rosalia Jassovitz is seen in the Obuda census:

Household #47, Obuda, Hungary, 1850:
"W. Ros. Jassovitz", age 54;
son, Sim., age 32;
son, Moritz, age 18;
daughter, Eva, age 16;
Fany Deutsch, age 24;
Math. Weisz, age 25.

When she died in May 1865, "Zilly Jassovitz" [error for "Sali"], age 72 [actually about 67], was residing in household #46 in Obuda.
