Notes for Fritz Schwager
{geni:about_me} Fritz Schwager was born 5-Oct-1887 in Koetzting Bavaria to Isidor Schwager and Anna (nee Steindler).
He received public school and religious instruction in Cham Bavaria. He apprenticed in the leather business in Meiningen in Thuringen for four and half years and then returned to join the family business in Cham.
Fritz served in the German army during WW1 where he was captured in France as a prisoner of war. After the war he was released and returned to the family business.
When Isidor and Karla moved to Munich he took over the family business in Cham together with his brothers Albert and Sigmund.
Fritz married Meta Sommer from Eizenach Turingia. They emigrated to Palestine in 1938 with their only daughter Aneliese (born 1922).
At their early years they lived in Tel-Aviv (Zamanhof 10) where Aneliese learned to tailor and prepared for her wedding. On 9-Sep-1940 Italian bombers dropped bombs over Tel Aviv killing 130 civilians and among them was Aneliese Schwager. She was buried in the Cemetery in Nachlat Yizchak.
After her death Fritz and Meta moved to Ramot-Hashavim where they lived their remaining life.
Fritz was working as investor and was professional stamps collector.
After the war Fritz and Meta vacationed frequently in Europe where Fritz celebrated his 80th birthday.
Fritz died in 1976 and Meta two years after. They were both buried in the cemetery of Ramot-Hashavim where a small stone memorizes also their beloved daughter.
