Notes

• The Hebrew years have been translated from Hebrew letters to regular numbers.

• Hebrew calendar years go aproximately from September to August of the following year. Therefore, the a.c. years listed are correct if the month listed falls from January onwards but should be one year less if the date falls between September and December 31.

• Abbreviations and transliterations used: o.b.m. (of blessed memory; h.i.d. (Hashem inkom damo – may God avenge his blood, meaning that the person was killed for being a Jew like i.e. Progrom, Inquisition, Holocaust, etc); hakadosh: The saintly man; m.G.p.

• When it says “ may God protect his (or her) descendants” (m.G.p.) it means that the person passed away leaving no children behind
