{geni:about_me} Gunther Erich Farber and his mother, Hermine, were transported first to the Opole ghetto. On 31 March 1942, a group of prisoners were transported to the Belzec extermination camp. In May and in October 1942, subsequent transports took place to the Sobibor extermination camp. Of the original 2,000 Viennese Jews who were initially sent to the Opole ghetto, only 28 survived. Gunther and his mother were among the many victims.
