A WWII veteran who served in Europe and the Far East.

A pioneer in importing textiles who started doing business in Shanghai in 1946. He traveled as well to the Soviet Union as its guest in 1958 and 1976, and began to import textiles from mainland China in 1976. He owned the successful company, Continella Industries Corp., acting as a one-man marketing research arm, and strongly believed that his success was due to tremendous investigation, hard work, creativity, and timing.

In his private life, he was a long-standing member of the Old Guard of White Plains.
