Notes for Cecilia Kohn-Boschan (Kohn or Bosany)
{geni:occupation} Ran a bakery shop
{geni:about_me} Cecilia (Kohn-Boschan) Knopfelmacher Zerkowitz was born in Ilava, Trencin Co., Hungary in 1794, and died in Trencin on 9 February 1885, age 90 years. She was married first, about 1816, to David Knopfelmacher (b. c.1793) of Trencin. They are seen residing in Trencin when the 1818 Jewish census was taken.

Following the death of David Knopfelmacher, Cecilia married a second time, in 1823, to widower Nathan Samuel Kohn-Zerkowitz (1783-1847). In 1848, "widow Czilly Kohn" is seen in the Jewish census of Trencin City. She was runninga baker's shop, and was living next door to her stepdaughter, Anna (Zerkowitz) Tauber and Anna's husband, Leopold Tauber. In the 1887 marriage record of her son Bernard, Cecilia's maiden name is given as "Knopfelmacher", which was actually the surname of her first husband, David Knopfelmacher. In the 1883 marriage record of her son, Simon Zerkowitz, her maiden name is listed as "Kohn", and in the death record of her daughter Julianna (Zerkowitz) Spitzer, her maiden name is given as "Bosany."
